H pylori

Hybrid Therapy* (14 days treatment)
PPI (acid reducer: Omeprazole, Nexium, Protonix. Ect) and amoxicillin for 14 days on day eight add clarithromycin or metronidazole or equivalents are for the final 7 days.
Side Effects include: Low Magnesiwn, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, dyspepsia (indigestion), abdominal pain, headache, rash, taste change, metallic taste, dizziness, dark, red-brown urine, candidiasis (yeasts), hives, black hairy tongue, eosinophilia, and elevation on ALTI AST. Sequential Therapy (10 day treatment)
5 days ofPPI (Acid Reducer: Omeprazo1e, Nexium, Protonix, ect.) therapy plus amoxicillin, followed by an additional 5 days ofPPI (Acid Reducer: Omeprazole, Nexium, Protonix, ect.) with 2 other antibiotics, usually Clarithromycin and metronidazole.

Bismuth Therapy (10 day Treatment)
Bismuth Subsalicylate 262mg 2 tabs chewed four times a day
PPI (Omeprazole, Nexium, Protonix, ect.)
